Mary Ruth Melton-age 83 of Alcoa, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, at Kindred Health Care. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Alcoa. Preceded in death by her husband, Lee ONeal Melton; mother and father, Myrtis Best and Herman Huffstetler; step-mother, Pearl Clark, sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Dan Word Survivors include: daughter, Ondra S. Henry; grandson, Sean Mello; great grandson, Brandon Mello; step grandchildren, Christopher Henry and Melissa Galentine; step great-grandchildren; David, Janet and Sara; brothers, Herman Huffstetler Jr., Bart Huffstetler, and Burl Huffstetler; sisters, Lois Morse, Carol Huffstetler, and Edna Lee Medlin; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Freeman Tomlin officiating. The interment will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Carpenters United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Alcoa Mission Fund, 819 Gilbert Street Alcoa, TN 37701
