Mary Frances Cox Lindner, 86 of Chattanooga, formerly of Knoxville, passed away October 22, 2011. Mary was a member of Lake Hills Presbyterian Church. In her church and community, she was known as the ''go to'' person in anyones time of need. An avid gardener, Mary's yard was admired by all who passed her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Truett; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Cox; brothers, Charles and Buell. She is survived by her children, Tom and Emilie Lindner, of Mt.Vernon, MO, Jenny and Tony D'Andrea of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Justin (Florence) Lindner of Houston, TX, Ryan (Katie) Lindner, St.,Louis, MO; great grandchildren, Zoe Lindner and Owen Lindner; sister-in-law, Patsy Cox Rogers, Athens, TN. She was a second mom to Susan Herndon and Missy Bradley. The family would like to thank Carolyn Leverett, Anita Burks, Terri Howe and Debbie Henderson for their loving care of our mother. Additionally, the staff of Hospice of Chattanooga and Dr. Ann Rybolt. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa, TN with the Rev. Art Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or the community kitchen of your choice.
