Mary Ella Roberts

ROBERTS, Mary Ella, age 83 of Maryville, passed away Friday, December 22, 2006, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was a member of Maryville First Baptist Church where she was Sunday School Secretary for 59 years, was a graduate of Walland High School, Maryville College and received her Master’s Degree from Vanderbilt Peabody College. She taught elementary school for Blount County and Maryville City Schools for 43 years. She had a love for her family who were from the Cades Cove area. Miss Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, Judge George D. and Laura Myers Roberts; brothers, Roy Roberts and Irl Roberts; sister-in-law, Louise Roberts. Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. George M. and Faye Roberts of Nashville, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Lois Roberts Berry and Ed Berry of Jonesboro, AR; several nieces, nephews, cousins. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and then proceed to Pleasant Grove Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev.
