Mary Elizabeth Orr Carpenter

Mary Elizabeth Orr Carpenter, age 91, passed away February 16, 2015 at Kindred Healthcare-Maryville. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, George Dowell Carpenter; son-in-law, Richard Boring; sister, Martha Blair; brothers, Earl, Aud, Millard, Grant, W. P. Jr. (Dub) Orr; parents, W. P. Orr, Sr. and Callie Phillips Orr. Survivors include daughter, Malinda Boring; grandchildren, Keith Boring, Sarah White and husband Matt; great-granddaughter, Lydia Elaine White; sister-in-law, Lavetta Carpenter Myers; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express special thanks to the caregivers for their love, kindness and care at Kindred Healthcare-Maryville and Sterling House Assisted Living-Maryville where Mary resided for over nine years. Family and friends will assemble Saturday, February 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Carpenters United Methodist Church Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Dr. Jerry Russell and Rev. Betty Furches officiating.
