Marvin Ray Lewis

January 7, 1929 — July 16, 2011

Marvin Ray Lewis- age 82 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Asbury Place. He was a member of the Alcoa 25 year Club, an avid woodworker and of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Preceded in death by his father Robert L. Lewis; mother, Sarah Ethel Leatherwood Lewis; sisters, Lucille Millsaps and Gladys Kidd; brothers, Homer and Cecil Lewis. Survivors include: wife, Estelle Lewis; son, Tony Lewis and wife Karen; sister, Joyce Shamblin; nieces, nephews, and cousins; brother-in-law, Jack Bruce and wife Melba; step-grandchildren, Ernest, Dewayne, and Ashley. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Grandview Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Glenn Grubb officiating.
