Sweet, Marvin James, age 83 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007, at Asbury Place. He was born in 1924 in Monroe County and last attended High Praises Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Toomey Sweet; parents, Henry and Alma Sweet; brother, J. C. Sweet of Sweetwater, TN. Survivors include his sons and their wives, Rev. David Sweet and Donna, Gene Sweet and Karen all of Maryville; daughters and their husbands, Vivian and Rev. Dickie Dixon of St. Croix, Judy and Danny Bolinger of Maryville; grandchildren, Brian Sweet, Melinda Inman, Ricky Sweet, Jessica Rex, Rick, Mike, and Nick Dixon, Darrell and Aleah Bolinger; great grandchildren, William and Thomas Bolinger, Kayla, Hannah and Jenna Inman, Blake, Noah and Conner Rex, and Cierra Dixon; brother and wife, Wilford and Elizabeth Sweet; sister-in-law, Evelyn Sweet; sisters, Lola and husband, Rev. Charles Cassidy and Lula Torbett. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Cassidy and Rev. Wayne Simmons officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service.
