Martha Ann Brannon Mccall

Martha Ann Brannon McCall of Maryville passed away November 29, 2018 at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Russell McCall. Kenneth was called to service in World War II leaving Martha home with five children to take care of while over seas. Kenneth accepted Christ as his savior and wrote home and told Martha to start going to church and take the kids. Martha started attending Springview Missionary Baptist Church and was still a member there at her death. Her children attended there, accepted Christ there and were baptized while members there and many were Married there. Martha was a fantastic cook who often fed more than her own. Her philosophy was with nine kids to feed whats one more. Martha was also predeceased by her son, Sam Henry McCall; daughter, Alice Jean McCall; sons-in-law, Kenneth Holder and Dwayne Flynn; daughters-in-law, Lucille Downey McCall, Margaret Elizabeth Herron McCall; grandsons, Michael Lynn Holder and Anthony Dewayne McCall. Martha is survived by her children, Alta Holder, Russell G. McCall (Edna), John A. McCall, William E. McCall (Judy), Margaret Flynn; special friend Bobby Vananda, Robert L. McCall (Lynette), Jack McCall (Patsy), Donna Blankenbeckler (Norman); 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Many special thanks to Julie and Mark Clark for their exceptional loving care. Thanks to Bobby for his special friendship giving her much enjoyment and laughter. Friends may call at their convenience Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service with Dr. William E. McCall officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
