Mark M. ''Markie'' Murphy, Jr.

MURPHY, JR., Mark M. “Markie”, age 58 of Zirconia, NC, formerly of Alcoa, TN, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008, in Hendersonville. He was a member of Newport First United Methodist Church and worked at the TN Vocational and Rehabilitation Center for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Merle Murphy, Sr. and Martha Lee Murphy. Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, James L. and Cindy Murphy of Friendsville, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marta and Paul Cogburn of Parrottsville, TN and Catherine and Andrew Beall of Zirconia, NC; nieces and nephews, Michael and Sarah Murphy, Jennie and James Murray, Daniel Cogburn, Angie Lawson, Noah and Nicole Swabe, Larry and Grace Beall; great nieces, Abigail Murray, Amelia Taylor and Taylor Lawson; special friends, Arthur Johns, Scott Snyder, Cody and Gary Banks, Joey and Tommy McDaniel. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, TN, followed by a graveside service at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Joe Green officiating. A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Newport First United Methodist Church with Rev. Freddrick Long officiating.
