Marie Ruth Bell Carrell, age 86 of Alcoa, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville. GOODBYE MOM Mom, what a wonderful journey in life you have had. Thank you so much for choosing us as part of that journey. Every day a new beginning, new exciting challenges. The things we have done, seen together, wow. You gave us a life of dreams that was many times made into a reality. And the love, oh man the love you shared with us. If there was ever a true example of the love and life that exemplified Christ, you are it teaching us by example on how to sacrifice with love, accepting that of what we may not understand and don’t like as part of that challenge of life as part of the plan that can make us stronger. Gonna miss you mom, but this is one of those challenges to accept as a part of life that we may not like or understand but because of you, we know that it will make us stronger. Mom, we love you so much and that’s because of how you loved us....thank you. Hey, say hi to dad for us, will you? I’m sure he’s been patiently waiting, excited to show what he’s made for you. I bet it’s beautiful She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Carrell; daughter, Kaye Carrell; grandchildren, Shan Charles Norton, Steven James Norton, Joshua Daniel Norton.
