Marian Cooper Aders

Marian Frankie Ownby (Meck)was born on Feb.16,1931 to Marion Richard Ownby and Jennie Sarah Martin at Pigeon Forge, Tenn. In March of 1947 she married Navy veteran of WWII, Max Leon Cooper of Blount County, Tenn. They were married for over 39 years and had 4 sons, Max L Cooper Jr.- Lonnie(Susan-deceased, Kathy) of South Carolina, Robert N. Cooper (deceased), Martin D. Cooper -Marty(Karen) of Arizona, and Joseph S. Cooper (Joey). Leon was a U.S. Navy Commander and they enjoyed 28 yrs. of raising their sons and living in various states while he was on active duty serving this Country. They retired, and eventually moved back to Blount County in 1984, Leon passed away in 1986 and Meck continued to make a home for Robert, Joey, and herself for the next 20 years. In 2007 she married widower, long time friend, and retired Navy Chaplin William Aders. They had lived happily for almost 10 yrs when Bill passed away in 2016. She is survived by (3) Sons, (1) Grandson- Derek of South Carolina, (1) Great-Grandson Christian of South Carolina, and her best friend and Sister-in-law Frances.

The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday, September 19, 2021, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and funeral service following with Rev. Greg Long officiating.
