Margaret Violet Mayer

Mayer, Margaret Violet, age 66 of Maryville died Monday September 9th 2002 a t Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. She was a member of The order of the Eastern Star for over 30 years. She was a retired Registered Nurse from Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, she had an associates degree in science and nursing from Abram Baldwin College in Tipton Ga., and a bachelor of arts degree from California Central University. She was a registered nurse in the states of Kansas, Tenn., Texas, Georgia, Florida, and California. She was a nursing instructor in Victoria TX. She was of baptist faith and was an outstanding mother and friend. Survivors include: Daughter Patricia M. Wood of Ga., son and daughter in law Robert Alexander and Nancy Mayer of Ga., daughters and sons in laws Leanna and Keith McDonald of Ga., Rhonda and Ed Hawk of Louisville Tn., Gwen and Terry Kendrick of Ga., mother Lela Beatrice Griffin of Maryville, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister and brother in law Sheila and Vernon Peck of Maryville, and brother Samuel Griffin of Blount County, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to Krissy Barker c/o The Susan G.
