Margaret Roys Stevenson

STEVENSON, Margaret, of Maryville, TN, died October 5, 2006, at Asbury Place at the age of 94. She was born July 17, 1912, in Kuling, China, daughter of missionary parents, Harvey C. Roys and Grace Woodbridge Roys. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1934, Phi Beta Kappa, Mortar Board, Outstanding Woman Student. Attended graduate school in social work at the University of Pittsburgh. Married Bob Stevenson (graduate of Maryville College and Pittsburgh Xenia Seminary) in 1936. Preceded in death by her husband the Rev. William Robert Stevenson. Survived by her children, Judy Hogan, Moncure, NC, Margie Ribble, Maryville, TN, Bill Stevenson, Jr., (Rosemary), Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Mark Ross (Priscilla) Maryville, TN, Steve Ross (Kym) Stephenville, TX, Sarah Cohen (Mark) Ft. Worth, TX, Amy Cook (Tim) of Salado, TX, Tim Hogan (Sherrie) Rio Rancho, NM, Ginia Neal (Stuart) Pittsboro, NC, Rachael Koeson (Aaron) Portland, OR, Clark Stevenson, Grand Rapids, MI; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Harvey C. Roys, Jr. (Ruth) Seattle, WA. A family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at New Providence Cemetery, followed by a 3:00 p.m. memorial service at New Providence Presbyterian Church with The Rev.
