Roseanne (Rosie) Carringer, age 67 of Lenoir City, formerly of Maryville, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Betty Miller Carringer. Rosie was much loved by the community and extended family and friends. She was known best for her laughter which was very contagious! She always had a special rope that was her best friend, and anyone who knew Rosie well, knows about the Rope. Rosie was one of our special friends with Down Syndrome, which made her even more special, and was handled with much care. Her primary caregiver for almost 20 years was Wanda Miller of Lenoir City, she lived with her as a companion through the ACT program. Ms Miller loved her deeply and took her in as her own family, the extended family of Ms Miller also loved her as one of their own. She attended all of the family's celebrations, such as birthday parties, Christmas, Easter, etc., and was always given gifts by her extended family. She loved her coloring books and crayons, Roseannes favorite hobby was listening to her albums on her record player for many years. Rosie was an avid Doll Collector, with a curio cabinet and more filled with beautiful dolls. She also has a family through the adult community training, known as ACT in Lenoir City. They took very good care of Rosie when Rosie had a stroke and was no longer to stay in regular housing. They watched her around the clock and loved her dearly. Rosie has three special cousins that has kept a check on her and loved her deeply, one of them is Kearney Collier of Kingsport, Tennessee, Dane Baker and Amy Harden of Maryville, and a special aunt, Wanda Baker that looked in on her until she passed away. Appointed by the courts to have a third party looking after Rosie was Teresa King in Lenoir City, and she will be much missed by Mrs. King, but also knows Rosie is now with her precious parents who prearranged everything many years ago before they departed this world. Anyone who would like to view Rosie would be welcome to come to McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Thursday April 12th through Sunday prior to the graveside service.
