Margaret Ann Clapp

Margaret Ann Clapp, 73, of Maryville, TN (formally of Powell, TN), died surrounded by her family at home on April 10, 2022 and began her eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born on January 7, 1949 to Ed and Margaret Cox in Knoxville, TN, she married her husband, David, on June 5, 1977 and had 2 daughters, Jennifer and Rachel. She retired from Anderson County Schools. She loved playing the organ and piano, but loved spending time with her granddaughters most of all. Margaret always put others before herself, and she loved her precious dachshund, Petunia. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Margaret Cox.

Margaret is survived by her spouse of 44 years, David Clapp; daughters Jennifer (Brad) Dyer; Rachel (Wes) Thompson; grandchildren, Madelyn and Roxie and step-grandchildren, Graham and Adeline; sisters Linda Cox and Carolyn (Bill) Satterfield; Niece, Robin (Fabritizzo) Ricci and several great nieces.

Graveside service will be held at Glenwood Cemetery, 7212 Central Avenue Pike, Knoxville, TN 37849, on Friday, April 15 at 10:00 am. Rev. Bill Coffey will be officiating the service.
