Marcelle McGill Lillard, of Louisville, died Monday, December 9, 2013, at Parkwest Medical Center. She was a life-long member of Clover Hill Presbyterian Church where she served in many leadership positions over the years. She attended the University of Tennessee, retired from ALCOA after forty-three years of service and was also a member of the ALCOA 25 Year Service Club. After retirement, she volunteered at Blount Memorial Hospital for many years. She served sixteen years as a member of the Blount County School Board. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lillard, who was principal of Heritage High School at the time of his death; parents, John Burton and Jane Mays McGill; five brothers, Fielding, Bill, Horace, Howard and Dan; one sister, Eloise; nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law. Survivors are son and wife, Drs. James Dennis, Jr. and Rebecca Bradley Lillard of Louisville; brother, Marvin McGill and wife, Wilma of Walland; sisters-in-law, Norma Lillard Lynn and Barbara Anderson Lillard of Maryville and Elaine McGill of Philadelphia, PA. She is also survived by many precious nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Patty Cooke. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Clover Hill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tom Gilliland and Rev. Roy Scarbrough officiating.
