Mafle E. Debety

Mafle E. Debety - age 91 of Alcoa passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at her home. She was a member of Tuckaleechee Baptist Church, a long time Sunday School Teacher, Girl Scout Leader and active in the WMO. She loved flowers and gardening, and in her and Clifford’s retirement they enjoyed several travel adventures with their friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtle Shaw Miller; brothers, Reece, Lloyd, Norman and Aaron; sisters, Lucy Hall, Lou Williams and Jean Robinson. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Rev. Clifford; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Rick Morgan, Barbara and Richard Easterday; sisters, Jo Lena Young and Ina Leming; grandchildren, Lynn Morton, Lacy Lotter and Jill Copeland; 9 great-grandchildren; grand dog, Mango. Funeral services will be 7:30 P.M. Monday December 26, in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Woods officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 7:30 at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorials to the Gideon Society.
