Mack Houston Swaney

Mack Houston Swaney, born July 4, 1939, passed away June 21, 2010, at Blount Memorial Hospital from Lung Cancer complications. He attended Blount Christian Church. Mack was retired from ALCOA with 31 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, John and Lena Swaney; three sisters and one brother. Survivors include wife of 52 years, Virginia Porter Swaney; daughters, Tamra Welshan and husband Terry, Jill Sharp and husband Mark; grandchildren, Chris, Emily and Sara Welshan and Stan and Morgan Sharp; brother, Tom Swaney and sister, Edna Mae Long; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Barry Clanton officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Mt. View Church of Christ (Christian) Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
