Lynn Larson Burnette

Burnette, Lynn Larson, of Alcoa, went to be with her Heavenly Father Sunday, August 3, 2003, at Blount Memorial after a courageous ten (10) month battle with acute leukemia. Lynn was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Gladys Larson. Survivors include her husband, Stan Burnette of Alcoa; father, Clayton Larson of Maryville; stepmother, Alvalyn Larson of Portage, MI; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Kay Burnette of Alcoa; sisters, Jan Lindsay and husband Joe of Atlanta, GA, Lee Gallay and husband Emil of Benton Harbor, MI, Gail Swanson of Portage, MI; brothers, Jimmy Thomas of Cherry Hill, NJ and Bill Larson of Washington, DC; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim and Courtney Burnette of Jackson, TN; nieces, Valarie Colclough, Holly Bender, Holly Zystra, Mary Elizabeth Thomas, Lisa Vander Berg, Tammy Lindsay and Chloe Burnette; nephews, Joe Lindsay, III, Jim Thomas, III and Scott Zystra; great niece, Jessica Lindsay and great nephews, Alex Colclough, and Zack Lindsay; special friends, Susan Cofferty, Julie Reid, Kim Weddington, and Donna Stewart. The family of Lynn would like to express thanks to the doctors and nurses on the fifth floor of Blount Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview United Methodist Church followed by a 4:00 p.m. memorial service with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. The family will also receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Blount Memorial Cancer Center, 330 South Washington Street, Maryville, TN 37804.
