March 21, 1917 — June 16, 2002

Lura V. Thames Hines age 85 of Maryville passed away Sunday, June 16, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church for over 60 years and a retired Blount County School Teacher. She was preceded in death by; husband, Alfred Pete Hines. Parents, Rev.R.H. and Ollie Wyndam Thames. Brothers, Clarence and Jack M. Thames. Sister, Beuna “Bill” Davenport. She is survived by: Daughter, Andrea Hines of Maryville. Son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Kelley Hines of Richardson, Texas. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Harold Clark, Fern and Jack Ingram all of Maryville. Sisters-in-law, Mary Sue Thames of Maryville, and Betty Moles of Loudon, TN. Nieces, Beverly Coleman of Maryville, Virginia Dotson of Hartwood, VA. Liz Holland of Toronto, Canada, Pat Schuyler and Brenda Pearson both of Indiana. Nephews, Richard Davenport of Brentwood, TN, Dr. John Ingram and Joe S. Ingram both of Maryville, Michael Clark of Knoxville, Richard T. Hines of Lenior City, and Mark Hines of Cleveland, TN, William Hines of Tupelo, MS, Lynn Hines of Nashville, TN and Johnny Hines of MS. Family and friends will meet 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 19th, 2002, at Grandview Cemetery for the graveside services and interment with Dr. Darris Doyle officiating. Friends may call at their convenience 1:00 to 5:00 PM Tuesday at the family home, 3217 Old Knoxville Hwy., Maryville, TN.
