Lucille Freschman

Lucille Freschman (90) of Maryville, TN entered her heavenly home on Saturday, June 17, 2017. She graduated from Utica High School (OH) and received the bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education from Ohio State University. A dedicated educator, Mom nurtured, encouraged and taught children in some of the most needy areas of Ohio, Washington, Louisiana, Florida and Tennessee. With her gentle guidance 100% of her students learned to read and write. She is a member of Our Lady of Fatima Council of Catholic Women in Alcoa. Beloved wife, devoted mother and loyal sister, Mom cherished her family and friends. She will join our father, Paul Freschman, and our sister, Sally, in the warmth of God's love. She is survived by her brother, Lee Allen (OH); her daughters, Emily (Martin) Baker of Indiana, Rose Freschman of Georgia, and Molly (Ed) Garbus of Colorado; grand-daughter, Amy (Rick) Allen-Foddrill; great grandchildren, Nora Allen and James Foddrill; grandson, Caleb (Christy) Garbus; and many additional nieces and nephews and their families. Our loving mother was a devoted caregiver throughout her entire life. She will be dearly missed by those who love her so. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff at Blount Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends from 5:15-6:45 p.m. Wednesday, with a Rosary service to follow, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. The Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 noon Thursday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father William McNeeley officiating. The interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Lyons View Pike, Knoxville.
