Lt Cmdr William D. Aders

On 08-17-16 at 1530, Lt Cmdr William D. Aders / USNRet - Chaplain Corp, peacefully passed away. He was 89 years old and living happily at The Morning View Assisted Living Village in Maryville, TN. The day before he was checked into Blount Memorial Hospital for routine treatment in order to relieve fluid retention. His prognosis was very good. But even after a positive briefing the next day, his heart, shockingly to all, just rapidly decreased functioning. It was a peaceful end. He lived the last 30 plus years of his life in Maryville and considered Maryville best above all the world he traveled. William D. Aders was born in 1927, in a very different culture of this country. He served in both the USAF and USN as an Officer and a Chaplain. He was a Veteran of The Korean War and also served extensively at The Naval Rehabilitation Ctr in Oakland during the Vietnam War. A Horrific Assignment. He was a Husband, a Father, a Grand Father and a Great Grand Father. He was a good and honest Man that Walked The Talk. He stood up strong in any wind that blew and his word was stone. But most of all he was a true and proven Servant Of God. He will be sorely missed not only by his loved ones and friends but by this country; which is sadly losing The Irreplaceable Ilk of His Kind. On 08-26-16, he will be laid to rest in his Full Dress Naval Uniform aside his Wife of 56 years and Love Of His Life: Juanita. This will be in Opp, Alabama by the Wyatt Funeral Home. A small viewing and grave side service with will be held. An Eglin USAF Honor Guard will present his passing from this world.
