Louise Wells Magill

LOUISE WELLS MAGILL, of Sedona, Arizona, died on May 12, 2004, at home at the age of 84 years. Mrs. Magill was the wife of Dr. John Magill, a Presbyterian clergyman. She was born on May 24, 1919, the daughter of Robert William and Carrie Wright Wells. She was a graduate of Maryville High School and of Maryville College. The Magills moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 1980 from Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Magill was a charter member of Chapter GD of the P.E.O. Sisterhood of Cape Coral, and a member of the Lawrence Kearney Chapter of D.A.R. She was also a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church of Cape Coral, its Women’s Association and of its Faith Circle. Mrs. Magill is survived by her husband, Dr. John Magill; daughter, Carol McDougald and husband John of Sedona, Arizona; son, Dr. David W. Magill and wife Judy of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Lori Waterstraat, Kristen Gibowicz, Jennifer Magill, David McDougald and Robert McDougald. She also leaves six great grandchildren, Hayden, Hope, Owen and Willow McDougald, Anna Grace Gibowicz and Graham Waterstraat. She was preceded in death by her parents; by a sister, Mary Frances Rahn and by a brother, Robert Wright Wells. A graveside service will be held at the Maryville College Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18. Memorial services will be held at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral on Friday, May 21, at 4:00 p.m. Memorials in Mrs. Magill’s name may be made to Faith Presbyterian Church, Cape Coral, Florida, to Maryville College, to Cottey College, Nevada, Missouri, or to a charity of one’s choice.
