11-16-2002 Louise Costner Best - age 88 of Maryville died Saturday November 16, 2002 at U.T. Hospital. She was a member of Carpenters Campground United Methodist Church. She was a retired Teacher from the Blount County School System with 36 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Bama Huffstetler Costner; son, Stanley Boyd Best Sr.; grandson, Alan Frank Hitch; sister, Mattie Lee Costner; brothers, Frank Costner, and Roland S. Costner. Survivors include a daughter Virginia Hitch; daughter-in-law, Janice Best; son and daughter-in- law, Thomas and Carolyn Best; granddaughter and husband, LeAnn and Eddie Howard, all of Maryville; grandsons and wives, Tony and Donna Hitch, of Riceville, TN, Stanley Jr. and Ramona Best, Michael and Susan Best, Thomas II and Angie Best, all of Maryville, Barry and Shannon Best, of Georgia; great-granddaughter, Casey Best, of Maryville; great-grandsons and wives, Eric and Ruth Hitch, of Smyrna, TN, Justin and Leslie Hitch, of Riceville, TN; great- grandsons, Derrick Howard, Dustin Howard, Ryan Best, Taylor Best, Tommy Best, all of Maryville, Jordan Best, of Georgia; great-great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hitch, of Riceville, TN. Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Gale Keown officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:30 A.M. Monday at Carpenters Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:30 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
