Lori Anne Blankenship, age 44 of Greenback, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Blount Memorial Hospital following a battle with cancer. Lori was a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister that touched the lives of so many people. She was a beautiful, strong, and caring person and an inspiration to all who knew her. Tim, her husband, was her soul mate and very best friend, who she dearly loved. Lori was a teacher/Administrator at Greenback School. She was an All State Basketball player and loved sports, especially enjoyed watching her two girls play basketball. Lori will be sadly missed but her life will always leave an impact on many. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Warren and Bessie Thompson and Walter and Imogene Heaton. Survivors include her husband, Tim Blankenship; daughters, Riley and Tater Guillemet; parents, Grady and Nora Thompson; sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Heath Blair; nephew, Sam Blair; niece, Ivy Blair; many aunts, uncles, cousins and Greenback Faculty. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rich Carnes officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. THURSDAY at Axleys Chapel Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
