Lisa Renee' Lyttle Queen

October 6, 1965 — May 25, 2013

LISA RENEE LYTTLE QUEEN, 47 of Louisville, TN, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at the University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital. She fought a courageous battle against brain cancer for 19 months. She was a 1983 graduate of William Blount High School. She attended Hiawassee College in Madisonville and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Masters Degree in Education. Lisa was a teacher at the Tennessee School for the Deaf in Knoxville, and later at Fairview Elementary School where she was once voted Teacher of the Year. Lisa was passionate about children and loved teaching. Her life ambition was teaching children. As a devoted Christian, she was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church and worked in the youth department. Lisa is survived by her husband Jeff Queen and their daughter, Emily. Emilys boyfriend, Charlie Cox, is also very close to the family. Her parents, Jim and Joyce Lyttle of Maryville, TN also survive her. Other survivors include her brother Bill Lyttle and his wife Lori, of Maryville, TN; her brother Mike Lyttle and his wife Mary, of Lenoir City, TN. She was especially close to her cousins Kim Saylors and Paul Ledford. Kims husband, Wayne, will be conducting the services for Lisa. Kim, Paul and their families live in Dalton, Georgia Other family members include her Uncle Bill and wife Donna Ledford of Pell City, Alabama; Uncle Johnny Lyttle and wife Margaret of Winter Park, Florida; Jeffs brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Tracy Queen of Lousiville, TN; Jeffs sister and brother-in-law; Cindy and David Morgan of Knoxville; and Jeffs sister and brother-inlaw, Ginger and Art Nicholson of Maryville, TN. Nieces and Nephews include: Meghan Lyttle, Drew Lyttle, Austin Lyttle, Thorne Fritts, Hannah Saylors, TJ Spoon, Lindsey Spoon, Becky Queen, Amy Hannah, Hayden Price, Haleigh Price, and Lindy Nicholson. Lisa was the devoted, loving, and faithful wife of Jeff Queen for 25 years. They have one daughter, Emily Queen. One of her most noticeable qualities was her contagious smile that immediately won the hearts of all that met her. Lisa loved living life. She was a mother, daughter, sister, and friend to so many. She will be greatly missed, and never forgotten. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM. Rev. Wayne Saylors will officiating. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, May 29, at 11:00 AM at the Louisville Cemetery for the interment. ln lieu of flowers she asked that donations be made to Fairview Elementary School Library. www.mccammonammonsclick.com
