Lester Charles Huffstetler, age 88 of Alcoa, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Tennova Residential Hospice. He was a World War II Navy Seabee Veteran in service 28 years and retired Navy Master Chief E9 Petty Officer. He was a longtime member of Mountain View Church of Christ and retired Superintendent for Johnson and Gaylon Construction. Preceded in death by father, Paul Roscoe Huffstetler and mother, Mae Murphy Huffstetler; sisters, Joanne Huffstetler and Jean Bennett; loving wife of 44 years, Mary Ruth Gordy Huffstetler. Survived by daughter, Elizabeth Huffstetler Davis; son-in-law, Kent Nelson Davis; sons, Mike and Pat Huffstetler; daughters-in-law, Libby and Teresa Huffstetler; grandchildren, Jonathan Davis, Heather Hillhouse, Jennifer Davis; special granddaughter, Ashlyn Davis; great granddaughters, Emerson Davis and Meadow Hillhouse; sisters, Dot Raulston, Betty Turner and Polly Huffstetler. The family wishes to express special thanks to Bruce and Chris from Hospice and Angelique, his sitter. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Steve Raulston officiating. The entombment will follow at Sherwood Mausoleum.
