Landon "Pete" Lawson

May 7, 1947 — June 14, 2014

Landon "Pete" Lawson - age 67 of Walland passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014, at his home. He was a member of Rio Revolution Church where he served as deacon and a member of the praise team. He served 5 years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era and worked 37 years at Harrison Construction retiring as Vice President of Operations. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl J. Lawson; mother, Hazel McGill Lawson; infant twin brothers, Earl and Joseph; sister, Karen Lawson; brother-in-law, John Whiteside. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Barbara A. Lawson; son, Mike Lawson; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Jerry Willis; grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan and Danielle Willis; great-grandson, Liam Willis; sister, Flo Whiteside; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Rio Revolution Church, 3419 East Lamar Alexander Pkwy., with Rev. Pacer Hepperly and Rev. John Sweet officiating. The interment service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the U.T. Cancer Center, Office of Development, 2121 Medical Center Way., Suite 110 Knoxville, TN 37920.
