Knute R. Burstrom, Jr.

Knute R. Burstrom, Jr., age 79 of Alcoa, TN passed away October 8, 2022, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Knute was clearly a family man with a strong faith in Christ, that loved his wife, Linda dearly and faithfully for 58 years. He was a life-long Bills, NY Yankees, and TN Vols fan. He spent countless hours playing golf with friends and family. He and his wife attended a multitude of his grandchildren’s activities ranging from sports, plays, musicals, church plays, and so much more. He served his county in the United States Army with honor. He was a former Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and lifetime NRA member. He was retired from Knox County Sheriff’s department. The majority of his career was in banking in New York and Florida. The things he enjoyed the most was when he and his wife dropped their convertible top and took evening drives, listening to Elvis, looking for deer, and enjoying each other. He was preceded in death by his father, Knut R. Burstrom, Sr.; mother, Lillian M. Burstrom; brother, Paul Burstrom.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years and the love of his life, Linda Burstrom; sister, Ann Tilaro; children, Debbie Tipton (Rickey), David Burstrom (Stefanie), Deanna Mitchell (Jim), Lynn Compton (Davey); 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 12th at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
