Kenneth Merl Bailey

BAILEY, Kenneth Merl, age 79 of Maryville, died at U. T. Hospital on Friday, September 26, 2003. Kenneth retired from the U. S. Navy after 22 years, he served in World War II and the Korean War. After retirement, he retired after 20 years in Office Supply in Norfolk, VA. He retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was a member of Rockford Lodge #469 F&AM, being a 50 year member of the Masonic Order. He was a member of Martha Washington Chapter #231 Order of the Eastern Star. He leaves behind his wife Louise of 57 years; a daughter, Patricia Bailey of Salt Lake City, Utah; one son, Richard Allen Bailey of Maryville; a daughter, Mary Ann Butler of Del City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. The family will celebrate Kenneth’s life at a memorial service Sunday, October 12, 2003, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sandy Springs Road, Maryville with Pastor Scottie Burkhalter officiating, followed by a short military service.
