Kenneth Houston ''Bucky'' Howard

Kenneth Houston “Bucky” Howard, Jr., age 84, of Maryville, born November 19, 1926, in Henderson, TX, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Parkwest Medical Center. He attended the McCallie Military Prep School in Chattanooga, TN, and the University of TN, was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during World War II, past Commander of the American Legion, a 32nd Degree Mason, helped start Maryville Little League and was an avid sportsman. He was preceded in death by his parents, K. H. “Bitsy” Howard, Sr. and Ruth Spivey Howard and son, Charles “Chuck” Howard. Survivors include his wife, Helen R. Howard; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and George Sarten, Jr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Howard, III and Sandy Howard, Stephen and Sarah Howard, Mike and Bunnee Bogle; grandchildren, Justin Howard, Kenneth Howard, IV, Jaime Ogle, Brooke Darnell, Kelli Watkins, Jillian Carpenter, Laurren Wilhite, Lindsey Pacifico, Ashley Sarten, Julie Gallgher, and 8 great grandchildren. Receiving of friends will be held on Saturday, April 30, from 2-5:00 p.m. at the home of Helen Howard, 203 Savannah Park Drive, Maryville, TN 37803. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Highlands South, 9010 East Simpson Road, Knoxville, TN 37920.
