Kenneth Edwin Jones

Kenneth E. Jones, age 57 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2009, at U. T. Medical Hospital after a short illness of pneumonia and complications. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church over 26 years and later joined Beech Grove Baptist Church, he joined the Marine Reserves in 1969 for six years at Parris Island, SC and was retired from South Central Bell, Bell South, AT&T after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vestal and Vinnie Thompson of Knoxville, Pike Powers Jones of Deer Lodge, Flora Lee Blackburn of Knoxville. Survivors include his sons, Andy Lee Jones of Louisville, Brian Keith Jones of Maryville; daughter, Kendra Lynn Jones of Maryville; parents, Johnnie (J) and Ruby T. Jones of Maryville; sister, Darlene Brown Lambert of Friendsville; niece, Darla Brown Johnson of Maryville; uncle, Marion Thompson of Knoxville; longtime friend, Art Greene of LaFollette; several cousins. Special thanks to the U.T. Medical Center, South 5th floor MCC Staff and especially Tony and Tony. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Webster officiating. The interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
