Kenneth B. Green, Jr.

GREEN JR., Rev. Kenneth B., age 75 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2002, at his home. He was born in Chattanooga, TN, was a retired United Methodist Minister with 50 years of serving, serving the Church Hill and Blountville Circuit, Stone Drive in Kingsport, Norwood in Knoxville, St. Paul in Chattanooga and Fairview in Maryville, and was Minister of Visitation at First United Methodist Church of Alcoa at the time of his death. Survivors include: wife, Ann Hines Green; sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Patricia Green and Joel and Marsha Green all of Knoxville; grandchildren, Erin Green and Nicholas Green; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Alcoa with Rev. Joe Green, Rev. Jack Brown and Dr. Marvin Gass officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Alcoa. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Alcoa Building Fund, 617 Gilbert Street, Alcoa, TN 37701. Pall Bearers will be Jim Fritts, Chester Graves, Jim Keeble, Dick Abbott, Gene Reynolds, Roy Huskey and John Widner. The Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church of Alcoa and Fred Huffman will serve as Honorary Pall Bearers.
