Rev. Ken Curtis Green went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 13, 2016, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving wife, Barbara, and family. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Maryville. He was a minister for 42 years; pastoring Rescue Mission Baptist Church, Miser Station Baptist Church, Oakland Baptist Church and Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He loved singing, playing his guitar, fishing, collecting many things and spending time with his step-great-grandson, Aaron. Preceded in death by father and mother, Noah and Susie Green; first wife of 47 years, Cassie Ellen Green; brothers, Walter, Ben, Charles, and Frank Green; sisters, Daisy Beckner, Edna Graves and Shirley Miller. Survivors include wife, Barbara Jean Green; brother, Dan Green, of Morristown; sister, Ruby Prince, of Kodak; step-children, Lloyd Phillips, of Seymour; John (Mary) Phillips, of Friendsville; Charlotte (Larry) Shore, of Michigan; Joe Boring; ReNee' (J.P.) Blair; Tara (Kevin) Burchfield; Robby (Anna) Price; Michael (Megan) Graves, all of Maryville; special step-grandchild, Heather (Rob) Sparks; special step-great grandchild, Aaron Sparks; numerous other step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Many thanks to Kindred of Loudon and Amedysis Hospice Care. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Clore and Rev. Brian Williams officiating. The interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Zions Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
