Keith L. Patterson

Keith L. Patterson, 84, passed away at Blount Memorial Hospital on April 28, 2014. Born in Alba Missouri, he served with the U.S. Air Force stationed in Japan during the Korean Conflict; he completed his service stationed at McGhee Tyson AFB. He retired from the US Postal Service, after serving 25 years as the Friendsville Postmaster. He was preceded in death by his son, Philip H. Patterson. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Charlene Hamil Patterson; daughter and son-in-law Zoellyn and Joe Smith of Friendsville; grandsons Casey Smith of Friendsville and Justin Patterson of Maryville; sister-in-law Marifloyd Hamil of Tempe, Arizona and niece Dorothy (Richard) Harp of Diamond, Missouri. Friends and family will meet at 2 pm Friday at the Friends Cemetery in Friendsville for a graveside service with the Reverend Larry Fowler officiating.
