Katie Shipley Ferry, age 98 of Louisville, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013, at Asbury Place. She was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Alcoa First United Methodist Quilters Club. She was past owner of Shipley Grocery. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Shipley and Eugene Ferry. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Robert G. and Donna Shipley of Maryville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Ralph Elam of Manchester, TN; step daughter, June Campbell Chiefland, FL; stepson and step daughter-in-law, John and Faye Ferry of Orlando, FL; granddaughters, Cyndi Shipley Bestvina and husband Mladen of Salt Lake City, UT, Jeanne Maree Shipley of Knoxville, TN, Jennifer Elam Waggoner and husband Jamie of Easley, SC, Jessica Elam of Nashville, TN; grandson, Robert G. Shipley, II of Knoxville, TN; great grandchildren, Sarah and Adam Shipley, Isabella, Maya, and Thomas Bestvina; step grandsons, Darrell Campbell and wife Karen of Chiefland, FL, John Ferry and Randy Ferry both of Orlando, FL; special caregivers, Deana Effler, Edna Hunter, Debbie Parker, Debbie Rhodes and Sharon Weaver. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Green officiating. The interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
