Judy Lynn Whitehead

Judy Lynn Whitehead, born March 1, 1946, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on October 29, 2024.

Judy was a believer in the power of prayer and a positive attitude. Throughout her life, she loved to keep others guessing with her quick wit and sarcasm. She cherished her parents, husband, children, and grandchildren more than life itself. Judy was small but mighty; nothing could keep her down, even though she faced her share of hardships. The past few months saw a decline in her health, but more importantly, her illness brought her and others closer together. Her daughters, Mandy and Karlen, spent countless hours by her side, talking, laughing, and providing comfort. She will be remembered for her humor and remarkable memory. Her mind was sharp as a razor and didn’t fade until her body could no longer keep up. She was an understanding listener and always showed up in ways you didn’t know you needed. She will be greatly missed by those who love her. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Charlotte Havens, and her brothers, Dennis and Mayford Havens. She is survived by her husband, David Whitehead; daughters Karlen Boring and Juli (Mandy) Whitehead; grandchildren Aidian Davis, Bailey Boring, Jackson Boring, and Emma Simms; and special niece, Renee Murphy.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 12 to 2 PM at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 PM, with a graveside service immediately afterward at Centenary Cemetery.
