Judy went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 21st at approximately 4:30 am. As she was making her journey from this life to the next, she requested that we not touch her so that she would not want to stay, for she so loved all of her children, grand children, and great-grandchildren. They were her “babies”.
Judy served alongside her husband, Reverend Ronald Blair, in pastoral ministry at various churches in our community through the years. Judy was currently a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Yearout; mother, Ivory Yearout; brothers, Glen, Harold, J.B. and Pete; sisters, Marjorie and Gail. She leaves her husband, Ronald Blair; children, Ron and wife, Brenna, Jason and wife, Sherri, and Allison and husband, Mark; 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family had a private graveside service on Tuesday, February 24th. A memorial service will be held at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home on Saturday, March 1st, with receiving of friends from 1:00-2:00, and service to follow at 2:00.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Richard Lee and all the staff at Thompson Cancer Center. Also, thanks to UT Hospice Program and all the nurses that came to our home during this difficult time.
