Judith ''Judy'' Burt Deshetler Labash

Judith ''Judy'' Burt DeShetler LaBash, age 67 of 334 Southshore Drive, Greenback, TN, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 8, 2007. Judy served as an inspiration during her long illness with breast cancer. She was born in Detroit, MI on Christmas Day, 1939. Judy was a graduate of Waterford High School and Michigan State University. She was preceded in death by parents: father, George Reo Eldred; mother, Geraldene Burt Eldred; stepmother, Estelle Gorsica Eldred. Survivors include: husband of 27 years, Richard D. LaBash; stepbrother, Chester Gorsica; son, Richard Scott DeShetler and wife Patty of Davisburg, MI; daughters, Jeri Whitehead and husband Christopher of Clarkston, MI, Jill Mersman and husband Scott of Burns, TN; step-sons, Richard D. LaBash, Jr. and wife Michele of Newtown, CT, Charles L. LaBash and wife Laura of East Greenwich, RI, Geoffrey Conrad LaBash and wife Heather of Fairfield, CT, George Haffner LaBash of North Branford, CT; two grandsons. Mitchell Mersman and Alex DeShetler; two granddaughters, Madeline Grace Whitehead and Meg Elizabeth Mersman; two step-grandsons; Charles Lavery LaBash Jr. and Beck Reinhardt LaBash. Judy will be cremated and there will be no funeral service. At some time in the future there will be a ''Celebration of Life Party'' for Judy in Greenback, TN; Burns, TN; and Clarkston, MI for all friends to attend.
