Juanita Law Bassel

BASSEL, Juanita Law, age 89 of Springfield, formerly of Maryville, TN, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at her home in Springfield. Mrs. Bassel was born February 11, 1913 in Maryville to the late Jackson Oliver and Margaret Wells Law. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Burr Bassel and daughter, Dorothy Law Bassel. Mrs. Bassel was a Science teacher for 35 years prior to retirement. She is survived by her son, Dr. John Burr Bassel, Jr. of Springfield; six grandchildren, John Burr Bassel, III, Thomas Louis Bassel, David Patrick Bassel, Mary Letitia Bassel, Ashley Nation Bassel and Angela Nation Bassel; two sisters, Dorothy Morgan and Margaret Burns both of Statesville, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and then proceed to Grandview Cemetery for a 3:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev.
