Juanita Clendenen Crowe-Durbino, died at home, Tuesday, October 6, 2015. She was a member of the Sam Houston Schoolhouse Association and Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 5154 Maryville. She is a former TN Department President and National President (1993-94) of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW. She was a long-time volunteer and co-chair for the Blount County Toys for Tots when that program was under the direction of the McGhee Tyson Air National Guard, and served as advisor to the Junior Service League when they assumed responsibility of the program. She was also a former volunteer for Special Olympics. She was a member of Maryville First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her mother, Roxie Haney Palmer; father, Otha Clendenen; sisters, Pauline Wilkings and Edith Adams; and long-time companion W. S. "Doc" Barker. She is survived by her husband, Frank Durbino; daughters, Pat Yardley James of Maryville and Linda Yardley of Atlanta, GA; step-daughter, Kathy Durbino Boron (Jacksonville, NC) and family; step-son, Tom Durbino (Austin, TX) and family. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Barry Crowson and Rev. Charles Ballard officiating. Friends and family will meet for the interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Blount Memorial Hospice, 1095 East Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37804.
