Josephine Dyer Cartwright

Josephine Dyer Cartwright, age 87 of Knoxville and Maryville, beloved wife, mother and friend, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church. She was a popular local artist noted for her floral paintings and was an active member of Tennessee Artist Association and the Blount County Arts and Crafts Guild for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren F. Cartwright; brothers, Howard and Fred Dyer. She is survived by daughters Patricia Cartwright and Sandra Cartwright and several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Brenda and Larry Carroll officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Greenelawn Cemetery in Greeneville, TN for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
