Joseph York Rhyne

Joseph York Rhyne- age 91 of Maryville, Passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. Preceded in death by his parents, Carnel and Eva Caldwell Rhyne; brother, Jack Rhyne; sisters, Helen Roach, Verna Bee McDonell, Margaret, Velma, and Virgie. Survivors include: wife of 70 years, Dorothy Whitehead Rhyne; son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. and Linda Rhyne; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy Jean Rhyne and Herman Bowers; daughter, Mary Jo Ann Rhyne Smith; grandchildren, Michael Bowers and wife Kimberly, Tommy Bowers and wife Tina, Bobby Rhyne and wife Jennifer, Sherry Boring and husband Ed, Russell Smith, Brian Smith, Johnny Ray and wife Karen; 12 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, W.D. and Betty Rhyne; sister, O’Dell Gardner; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at McCammon-Ammons-Click funeral Home with rev. Tommy Boring and Rev. Ronnie Crisp officiating. The interment will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Williamson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, 982-6812.
