Joseph "Clayton" Tucker, age 71, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully, reuniting with his beloved wife, Shirley Dunaway Tucker, in Heaven. Clayton was preceded in death by his wife, his father JC Tucker, his sister Debbie, and his brothers Gene and Darrell. He is survived by his loving mother Beaulah, his brother Monty Tucker, his children Justin Tucker and his fiancé Tamara, his daughter Kim Huskey, and his stepson Shawn Burkhead. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Jessie, and Matthew Huskey.
Clayton, as he was known to many, had a deep passion for music and was a talented drummer. Yet, as great as he was behind the drums, he was an even better father, grandfather, son, and friend to those fortunate enough to know him. All who knew and loved him will feel his loss deeply, but there is comfort in knowing he has reunited with his greatest love, his wife Shirley. They undoubtedly have shared their first dance in heaven in a very long time.
His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his legacy of love and music will never be forgotten.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 22, 2024, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and the service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Hutsell officiating. Family and friends will meet at Stony Point Baptist Church Cemetery, Knoxville, TN, immediately following the service for interment.
