Joseph T. Hobbs, Jr.

HOBBS JR., Joseph T., age 86 of Maryville, passed away Friday, March 24, 2006, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was an active member of New Providence Presbyterian Church, retired from ALCOA after 40 years of service and was a previous member of several professional and civic organizations. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Hobbs, second wife, Beth Edmondson Hobbs and son, Michael Hobbs. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Niece Hobbs of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sherry Hobbs of AL; granddaughter, Julia Hobbs; stepchildren, Ron Hitch, Sharon Robertson, Jan Tatum all of Maryville; step grandson, William Tatum of Maryville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Emily Anderson and the Rev. Dr. Philip Bembower officiating. The interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
