Johnny Reed Walker

Johnny Reed Walker, age 69 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at his home. He was retired from the 134th Air Refueling Wing of the TN Air National Guard and was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He loved music and nature. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ned and Lenis Derryberry Walker; sisters, Mary Frances Neill and Pat Taylor; brother, James Walker. Survivors include his wife, Kristi Walker of Maryville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Sandra Tanner of Maryville; brother-in-law, Oscar Neill of Holly Springs, MS; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kelly and Shantel Tanner of Maryville; several beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4-5:30 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel followed by a memorial service at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ijams Nature Center, 2915 Island Home Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37920.
