John William Herron

July 29, 1943 — September 9, 2011

John William Herron, age 68 of Maryville, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011. Retired sub-director and staff representative with the United Steelworkers, also retired from Alcoa. Preceded in death by parents Paul and Nelda Herron; sisters, Bobbie Sue McGinley and Margaret McCall; brother, David Herron; nephew, James Herron, mother-in-law, Mildred Gardner. Survived by wife of 44 years, Mary Lynn Herron; daughters, Lisa Cool and husband Jimmy; Pam Herron (Bryan Stinnett); Lori Herron and husband Chad Deal; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Yvonne Herron; Mike and Jan Herron, Ken and Ella Herron; sister-in-law, Carolyn Herron; brother-in-laws, Jack McCall and Randy Irwin and wife Irene; grandchildren, Kelli and Kacie Cool. Many special nieces and nephews, friends and co-workers. Family and friends will meet 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Lenior City Cemetery for a graveside service and interment with Rev. Ralph Lee officiating The family will receive friends 5:30-8:00 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of UT Medical Center Surgical Critical Care Unit for their excellent care.
