John Nelson Trundle

The Reverend John Nelson Trundle, of Maryville, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016. He was born on March 27, 1934 in Maryville, TN. John was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Laura Rainwater Trundle and by his parents, William Nelson and Bessie Kirby Trundle and his brother, William Edwin Trundle. John is survived by his children and spouses, Nancy Jane and Jim Hewitt, John Stephen and Robin Trundle, David Marshall Trundle, and Linda Anne and Bob Smith; grandchildren, Linda Anne Hewitt, Martha and Robert Selby, William Hewitt, Kirby Trundle, Anna Marshall Trundle, Jacob Trundle and Joshua Trundle; niece, Sharon Hughes. The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church, Maryville in Wesley Hall on Sunday, July 31 from 1:00-2:15 p.m. and following the service. A Celebration of Life service to follow in the sanctuary at 2:30 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be the Holston United Methodist Conference Ministers. The family would like to thank the staff at Shannondale Maryville and the Blount Memorial Hospice staff for their professionalism.
