John Montgomery Hutton

April 3, 1923 — March 17, 2005

HUTTON, John Montgomery, passed away early Thursday, March 17, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was born in Greenback, Tennessee on April 3, 1923. Mr. Hutton was a member of Greenback First Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. He was an active member of his community having served on the Loudon County School Board for over 25 years, Greenback Farmers Co-op Board and American Soil Conservation Service (ASCS). He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Isa Hutton. He is survived by Barbara Ryan Hutton, his wife of nearly 60 years; three children, Wayne Hutton and wife Cherie of Atlanta, Gail Hutton Webb and husband Bill of Alcoa, and Linda Hutton Brewer and husband Ron of Greenback. He is also survived by five grandchildren, John Whetstone Hutton of Potomac, MD, Derek Wayne Hutton of Fairhope, AL, Robyn Webb Cooper of Knoxville, Stacy Webb Greene of Bluff City, Mandy Webb Jones of Mt. Juliet and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Bell officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Baker’s Creek Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenback First Presbyterian Church, 6790 Morganton Road, Greenback, TN 37742 or the American Cancer Society, c/o Jill B.
