John Michael Lombardo

May 8, 1949 — December 10, 2016

John Michael Lombardo-age 67 of Maryville and Morristown, born in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi on Mother's Day, May 8, 1949, departed for his heavenly home on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Shannondale of Maryville. He was a graduate of Knoxville Catholic High School and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War onboard the USS Saratoga. He pursued his Architecture Degree at UT of Knoxville. He loved to work on restoring his antique cars and his model cars and trains. He leaves behind his beloved longtime friend Judy Mead and constant companion Miss Kitty. He loved his Breakfast Club friends, Carolyn, Debbie, Judy, Kathy, and Keith and all of their adventures over the years. Pre-deceased by his father and mother, Sam Paul and Edna Ann Lombardo; brother, Paul Thomas Lombardo; sister, Mary Frances Lombardo. He leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Gloria Aslinger (Jim), Jackie Foster (Tom), Charles Timothy Lombardo (Dixie), Margie Nichols (Randy), Cathy Potter (Bob); nieces and nephews, Michelle Lombardo, Jason and Michael Hardin, Joseph Potter, Andrew and Joseph Lombardo, Wendy Foster; great nieces and nephews, Avery, Italia, India, Abram, Bailey, Myers, AJ, Elena, Oscar, Josie, and Remy. Funeral Mass will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father William McNeeley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Church. The interment will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, with military honors, in East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4660 Old Broadway, Knoxville, Tennessee, 37918.
