John C. Stephens, Sr.

John C. Stephens, Sr., age 80 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. He was a member of Meadowbrook Christian Church where he served as an Elder, and retired from Vulcan Materials after 45 years of service as Plant Operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Thelma Keener Stephens and sister, Gladys Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Fredia Connatser Stephens; son, John Calvin Stephens, Jr. of Maryville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Grace Stephens, Dallas and Bonnie Stephens, Vernon and Marty Stephens; sisters, Betty Holliman, Dorothy Reed; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Jake Queener, Velma and Kenneth Tucker, Janice and Ronald Kiser, Sandy and Jimmy Carter all of Maryville. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jerry Allison and Elder Archie Clark officiating. The interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
